Over 80% of our GCSE Maths students achieve Grade 8 / 9.
Why parents come to ELITE Tuition
All students are welcome. At ELITE Tuition, we believe that all students can achieve a good grade in their GCSE Mathematics - the question is what works for a particular student? Our tuition is taught on a one to one basis with constant feedback to ensure the student is on track. We do not select our students based on ability or anything else.
Who is this tuition programme for?
This is for you if your child is...
This is NOT for you if your child...
How it works
Our one-to-one Summer GCSE Maths tutorials are taught by specialist GCSE tutors and guide students through the content and fully prepare students for September and the highest GCSE Maths predicted grade.
Initial Assessment
We start with a structured diagnostic to identify exactly where marks are being lost - content gaps, algebra fluency, exam technique, accuracy under pressure, or confidence. The diagnostic produces a written learning plan.
Custom Learning plan
Your child is paired with a specialist GCSE Mathematics tutor matched to their exam board (AQA, EdExcel, OCR). The one to one teaching plan is structured around the topics that will move the grade most efficiently, with independent practise set between sessions.
Mock Tests
Throughout the programme, we run topic assessments and full timed papers. Year 11 mocks in November / December are the first formal checkpoint - students arrive ready for them, not surprised by them.
"Grades are engineered, not hoped for"
ELITE Tuition’s teaching is built around diagnosis, targeted practice and measurable progress. Our GCSE Mathematics Learning Coordinator, Cham de Silva, has worked with GCSE students for over a decade and continually trains our GCSE Mathematics Specialist tutors. The ELITE Method of Learning uses live learning indicators to track whether students are genuinely improving during tuition, not merely attending lessons. We provide progress reports after each session.

Unless required due to nature of the course or for limited time availability, we ensure that the same ELITE GCSE Mathematics Tutor works with you.
Yes.
ELITE Tutors write reports on every session to ensure lessons are effective. We set independent work to continue learning outside our sessions. We monitor student performance in all areas including practise work and exam questions so we can focus precisely on what you need. All of this is included in the report for full transparency.
Our sessions are flexible around your specific needs but the beginning of our GCSE Mathematics programmes typically look like:
Week 1: Diagnostic Assessment and Learning Plan
Structured assessment across Number Algebra, Geometry, Statistics and Probability, Graphs. Written report identifying exact topics losing marks. Learning plan agreed with parent.
Weeks 2–5: Core Repair
Targeted rebuilding of the weakest topics from Year 10. Focus on algebra fluency which underpins every other strand. Independent practise between sessions, marked with feedback.
Weeks 6–8: Higher-Tier Topic Mastery (higher tier only)
Coverage of the harder Year 11 topics - surds, advanced trigonometry, vectors, iterative methods, functions - so the student enters September already familiar with the content their classmates will be seeing for the first time.
Final Stage: Exam Performance Training
Timed papers, mark-scheme drills and exam-technique work to convert knowledge into reliable marks under pressure. Assessment evidence can be shared with the school at parent's request.
